Of the 1.2 billion people living in India, 69% live on less than $2 a day. Millions suffer from lack of food, education, and medical care. Help me change that!
Imagine intense hunger, the kind that leaves you sore, listless, and scared. Imagine not knowing when or if you will eat again.
Imagine nobody caring.
Hunger like this is felt by millions in India, home to 25% of the world’s hungry poor. Over 7,000 residents die of hunger every day. 43% of children under five are underweight. Those who survive past five have a more difficult time learning in school and are at a greater risk of disease and early death in adulthood. It doesn’t have to stay this way. There are simple solutions like free daily public feeding stations and free school lunch programs.
I started this fundraising campaign to help Calcutta Mercy fund these food projects, and I am looking for people to join me in making a big difference. Please donate to my campaign. Every dollar provides four nutritious meals!
